How many of you have read or watched "The Secret"? The "how to guide" to having all of your dreams come true.
Did you believe it?
Do you really believe that if you manifest something long enough, hard enough and with enough true "belief"- that it will eventually happen?
I do.
When I was about five years old, I remember telling my mother that someday I am going to grow up and write books. Maybe I should have said that I am going to grow up and be a NEW YORK TIMES BEST SELLING AUTHOR!
Too bad I wasn't more direct in what I wanted to do with my life.
But, I did say I was going to write books, and I am doing that.
I wrote "Meet Delaney" for fun. I remember when I decided to publish it I said that if one person reads it and enjoys the book- I have done my job. Now, thanks to so many thousands of people who have written to me over the past year, I know that WAY more than one person has been given joy from my work.
My hope is that one day I will be able to work with a major publisher and offer distribution in multiple places so that I can give more happiness to others through the lives of my characters and the thoughts that run through my mind.
"The Secret" to success... as I see it, is to never stop trying. Keep chasing your dreams and work hard at making them come true. We all have gifts inside of us. "The Secret" is to find your gift and share it with the world.
